RockSTAR by Pivotel is a portable handheld GPR solution that is ideal for day fishers who fish without a vessel, or who want to move their GPR solution between vessels quickly and easily. RockSTAR is an affordable satellite based GPR solution which ensures that fishers are able to meet GPR obligations.
RockSTAR is a reliable long-life battery powered, portable Iridium solution that is designed to go wherever you do. The RockSTAR device meets the GPR requirement being introduced by Fisheries New Zealand delivering a robust and simple tracking solution. Use your RockSTAR alongside a low cost internet based Electronic Catch Reporting Solution such as eCatch (https://ecatch.co.nz/) to meet your full NZ MPI reporting requirements.
RockSTAR by Pivotel has a low upfront purchase price and is simple to setup and operate. Pivotel’s low running cost of just $60 plus GST per month covers the cost of satellite airtime, submission of the GPR data to MPI, as required under the regulation, and access to Pivotel’s online Tracertrak portal, which provides real-time and historical location information to the licence holder.
